Carnival Of Thieves were formed by Andi Stevenson in December 1990 after the last band Andi was playing in called Gasoline Party disbanded. The band come from Rotherham, in the north of England.

The music is a blend of Hard Rock, Goth Rock, Stoner Rock & Seminal Punk also influenced by many sub genres of Rock from the late 60's onwards. This gives the sound something unique with so many different influences.

The band split up in 1998 after playing over 1,000 gigs and releasing 2 albums.

Five of the original six members reformed in 2013 (Nick Fuller, John Roberts, Paddy F. D. Bazooka, Orb Mirfin and Andi Stevenson). Paddy F. D. Bazooka left shortly after re-joining to form his own band. He was replaced on Rhythm Guitar by Drax and the band were also joined on Lead Guitar by Sam Lewis. The band played several gigs during this period and hastily recorded 2 new albums. The first was called "Den Of Thieves" which was released in March 2014. None of the band liked the finished result as it was very rushed and plans were made to go back and remix it. The band also started recording a new album called "Scallywags" but during the recording of this album the band again self imploded and split up in August 2015. The band haven't played live since and currently have no plans to do so.

After the band split they managed to win an award from BIAFF for the video of "The Girl On The Train" released in 2016.

After the break up only Andi remained and he decided to make Carnival Of Thieves a 3 album recording project. Andi began building up his Studio bit by bit called The Loft and started the steep learning curve of learning how to mix and master.

Andi started work on re-recording all the parts on "Den Of Thieves" and "Scallywags" and re-recorded all the guitar, bass and drum parts playing them instead on keyboards using plugins.

7 years passed before "Den Of Thieves" and "Scallywags" was released to the public. "Den Of Thieves" was released on all streaming and download platforms in September 2022. It included 14 extra tracks from the original 2014 release. "Scallywags" was released 2 months later in November 2022 and this album includes 12 extra tracks.

In 2024 Andi reconnected with Mark Love who was the vocalist with Gasoline Party. Andi asked Mark if he would be interested in singing vocals on COT's material and Mark agreed. Work began on re-recording "Den Of Thieves" and "Scallywags" with Mark on Vocals in the winter of 2024. The albums are set to be released in the summer of 2026. The third and final album is scheduled to be released in 2028 and will be a 4 or 5 album box set which will include all the material that Andi has left over. The album will be tentatively titled "Thick As Thieves".

While Mark was recording the vocals for "Den Of Thieves" and "Scallywags" Mark was also working on a project called OldChild and asked Andi if he would produce, mix and master it. Andi agreed and the album is now finished will be out in the summer of 2026.
